President Hadi receives 11 foreign diplomats credentials

SANA'A, Oct. 11 (Saba)- President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi received on Thursday the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassadors of Italy, Somalia, Mauritania, the European Union, Canada, Sri Lanka, Austria, Nigeria, South Africa, Belgium and Poland.

The President received the credentials of Italian ambassador Luciano Galli. During his meeting with President Hadi, the Italian diplomat said that his country has allocated 40 million euros to support the 2nd and 3rd phases of the construction of the Yemeni Coast Guard, stressing that there will be broader partnership between Yemeni and Italian companies.

Hadi also received the credentials of the new ambassador of the Republic of Somalia Ismail Qasim Naji and Mauritanian ambassador Mohammed Mahfouz Ould Yahya.

In addition, the newly appointed head of the European Union mission in Yemen Bettina Muscheidt handed her credentials to President Hadi.

The President also received the credentials of the ambassador of Canada to Yemen Thomas MacDonald.

During their meeting, Hadi expressed hope to expand cooperation between Yemen and Canada in various fields, particularly economic and investment fields.

Ambassadors Gregor W. KOESSLER of Austria, Asoka Girahagama of Sir Lanka, Abdullah M. Garba Aminchi of Nigeria, Mohammed Sadiq Jafar of South Africa, Mark Fink of Belgium and Witold Smidowski of Poland also handed their credentials to President Hadi.

They were welcomed by the President who noted the strong relations between Yemen and their countries.
